Who Are WOS?

Winchester Operatic Society (or WOS) is Winchester's resident musical theatre and opera company. Now approaching its Centenary year, having been established in 1913, the Society continues to perform a wide range of shows, including the works of Gilbert and Sullivan, other operettas and more modern musicals.

We continue to seek new membership and people interested in helping out 'behind the scenes'.

We recently performed 42nd Street - a spectacular production which received great acclaim. Prior to that in November 2009 we staged a double bill of Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni and Trial by Jury by W.S. Gilbert & Arthur Sullivan
