Award winning ENCORE Youth Theatre is Winchester's only youth theatre which specializes in musical theatre. We offer members the opportunity to experience all aspects of theatre production from the audition process through to performing on stage in front of sell-out audiences at the Theatre Royal Winchester.

The company is committed to working hard, having fun and ensuring that all members have the opportunity to learn theatre skills that will help them achieve their ambitions in the future, whether they want to go on and work in the theatre professionally or just continue to perform for fun.

The company involves theatre professionals (directors, musical directors, technical staff etc) so that members learn first hand about working within the theatre. As well as developing the talents of our members through the rehearsal process, we also offer theatre skills workshops, which might include stage fighting, specialist dance workshops or technical skills. This means that when not required to be rehearsing, our members still have the opportunity to learn new techniques.

Company members are aged 12 years and above, and meet each September rehearsing every Sunday until February. Performances take place in the February half term.
