Welcome to Winchester Operatic Society

We are a friendly and lively group that stages musicals, operetta and light operatic productions at the Theatre Royal Winchester.

Of the many distinguished Musical Directors and Producers that have worked with the Society the best known is Sir Malcolm Sargent who worked with us during the 1920s and 1930s. (see History)

Now approaching our centenary year which commences July 2012 we continue to perform at the Theatre Royal, Winchester staging two productions annually in the spring and in the autumn.

Auditions take place before each production. Rehearsals take place at 7.45pm on Mondays and Wednesdays at St Faith's Hall, Back St, Winchester, SO23 9SB (directions). Not all the cast is called for each rehearsal. Productions run for one week.
